Six Degrees of Separation
EST
@The Tank
312 W 36th StNew York, NY, 10018
Embodying the theory that all people are connected through a social network of six or fewer degrees, Six Degrees of Separation is an annual showcase that brings together artists from NYC and beyond, presenting work around a common theme. Although connected to one another by one degree of separation, many participating artists have never met or worked together. Designed to engage new audiences and promote professional connections within the dance community, SDS provides a space for artists to create and workshop material while sharing resources and expenses.
Affordable Community Class
EST@Chez Bushwick
304 Boerum Street, #23
Brooklyn, NY 11206 (Take L train to Morgan stop)
Perfect for beginners or those looking to strengthen their foundation in floorwork. Our focus is on safe and efficient methods of floor movement, utilizing joint efficiency and momentum to maximize your body’s potential. We’ll teach you how to add fluidity and dynamism to your dance without putting too much pressure on your joints. Our goal is to help you develop reflective floorwork, a full range of motion, and to dance organically, using your body’s natural functions, rather than relying on power.

What others are saying about our past works
Contribution for us means
As immigrants, women, POC, and queer, we strive to create art that represents and empowers the communities to which we belong. Our collective comprises artists from our communities who perform and produce artworks that reflect topical aspects and personal insights delivered for our communities to spark empowerment, reflection, and inspiration.
If you believe in the power of art to empower communities, we would appreciate your support and donation. Every small or large donation is appreciated and fundamental in realizing our dreams and empowering our communities.
